Monday, October 26, 2009 at 09:25PM My family and my wife's brother (my brother-in-law. seriously. that's how it works.) and his wife went on a nice short hike to West Pinnacle yesterday. It was perfect weather but the sun was dropping quickly! Here are a few shots from the hike. All of these photos were taken at the top of the Pinnacle. The kids loved it up there and it's a modest hike for them. It makes me incredibly nervous to have the kids anywhere within eye-sight of the edge of these rocks. Never-the-less, the kids were very careful and there were plenty of places for them to explore AWAY from the edge. Whew!

For anyone who may have lost their marbles, I have a few to spare! This is a set of thirty, unique glass orbs (marbles) for free use. I created these becuase I love the combination of colors and twisted shapes all confined in this perfect sphere (circle really but the illussion is there!). I had a lot of fun creating them and you can preview the entire set here.

When I was wee lad, I was appalled by what I deemed as redneck music or devil music at the time. Devil music was namely music that had curse words in it of course. I was a good Catholic boy. I vividly remember destroying a GNR Appetite For Destruction cassette on my driveway. As I grew older, curse words became a necessity for good music. I kid. Mainly. Today I don't mind the occasional, or at least well placed derogative. Music as with any good art form, can be extremely personal. And with words as part of the medium of music, it's only natural terse terms would arise from intense or powerful emotions. As my neighbor might say, blah blah blah.
With all this in mind, I'm taking a month long look at some cool songs with aptly applied coarse language. There will be a new song each day for a month (30 days. 31 If you're @#$%ing lucky). All of the songs will have explicit lyrics (duh!) with the focus of each track being on the most versatile of swear words: the F word. Hey, start strong I always say. In order to avoid....oh, my readers don't care why, do either of you? You can find SONGS IN THE KEY OF F up top with the other links or right fucking here. See, that was an example of an unnecessary use of a four letter word. It's all about the learning here.
