So it appears I've been a comic book bender for the last couple of posts. This Evil Ernie post is a vector of the smiley face that provides comic relief in the form of a wise cracking button. Ernie is, well, evil and runs around wiping people out. It's all pretty silly to begin with. I created this vector from a picture I found online and then embellished it a little.
I collected comics for a long time. My dad got me started on them, taking me and my brother to comic stores and conventions. I loved it. It's one of my fondest memories: walking into a comic store with my dad and brother. Everywhere you looked in the store, there were colorful images, toys, shirts, and cards. It was fantastic and fueled the imagination. I don't collect much any more. However, I still buy collected volumes or graphic novels on occasion. As a regular part of the blahg, I'll reference some of my favorite artists and stories both past and present.
To that end, do I recommend Evil Ernie for reading or art? Eh, probably not. He was good for laughs but one or two issues was about all I could handle. It was a comedy, horror series which isn't so much my genre. The smiley here is a throw back to my childhood and still makes me smile when I feel like I need a little chaos.
